With the Christmas season fast approaching and a new year just around the corner, Harlow town centre is looking to celebrate with the launch of the 2023 Harlow Town Centre Awards.
Returning for a 6th year, the campaign organised by Harlow Council and Phoenix Resource Centre has started with nominations now open. Residents, visitors, businesses and employees are able to nominate their favourite shop, place or service, as well as individuals and teams across 15 different categories. The categories, from Retailer of the Year, Community & Voluntary Project/Organisation of the Year to Employee and Manager of the Year offer an opportunity to celebrate and thank the community that makes Harlow town centre a thriving and diverse destination.
Councillor Dan Swords, Leader of Harlow Council, said:
“We’re determined to put the heart back into Harlow by delivering a vibrant, safe and welcoming town centre that will restore pride in our town, attracting investment and opportunities for all. These awards are a popular celebration of the people, places and businesses who make up our town centre and who will be there in the future and be a part of the town centre’s exciting transformation. If you have a favourite place that you visit or there is someone in the town centre who makes your day, nominate them today for an award!”
This year, the Awards are sponsored by McBains and Mark Leeson, Operations Director for McBains, said:

Nominations can be made online on the Town Centre website and people have until Sunday 10 December 2023. Nominations received will then be verified and counted, with a shortlist of finalists going forward for public voting and panel judging. Winners will be announced at the 6th Annual Awards Ceremony scheduled to take place on Thursday 18 January 2024.
The 2023 Harlow Town Centre Awards are further supported by Hill Group along with a number of individual business sponsors for each category.
