Harlow Art Trust and Harlow Museum will be holding a special exhibition to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War 2.
As part of ‘Drawing on Memories’, which will run from 3 May until 7 June, organisers are asking for members of the public who have their own memories, or stories passed down by family members, of the Second World War to get involved and share them. They could be in the form of photos, letters, postcards or memories passed down through generations.
A selection of submissions will be featured in the exhibition and will also be showcased at a special VE Day celebration event on 8 May in Playhouse Square.
To get involved, email chair@harlow.gov.uk, write to: WW2 memories, Civic Centre, The Water Gardens, Harlow CM20 1WG or drop into the Civic Centre Monday to Friday between 9am and 4.45pm and we can take copies of your submissions.
All memories need to be submitted by 25 April to be in with a chance of featuring in the exhibition.
