Paddling pools

We have 4 free-to-use outdoor paddling pools and 2 splash parks in Harlow. These are all now open for summer 2022, except Staple Tye.

Staple Tye is being transformed into a mix of splash park and paddling pool. Unfortunately this work has been delayed, but we expect this to open by 20 August 2022.

There are no toilets on site at the paddling pools and splash park.

Safety

We do not have lifeguards at the pools. We usually have staff on duty to monitor the water quality and report any problems.

Our staff are trained how to deal with an emergency situation but this does not include administering first aid. Staff have access to a small supply of plasters and antiseptic wipes only, which can be given to the parent of the child to administer.

We have to drain the pools from time to time to make sure they are kept clean.

Please make sure any children under 8 are accompanied by an adult.

You cannot take bikes, dogs or glass into the pool area.
