If you need to cancel your bulky waste collection booking you must give at least 24 hours’ notice to receive a full refund. You can give us notice by telephone, email or in person
We reserve the right not to refund if you do not give us 24 hours’ notice and we will not offer a refund if you contact us on the same day of collection.
You must make any changes to your booking at least 24 hours before your scheduled collection.
There is no guarantee that we will be able to add the additional items to your original booking if the service is at capacity for that day, or if you have exceeded the number of items.
We have to make a new booking with a new collection date for additional items – this will be at an additional cost. You can only add additional items by phone or in person.
If you have left your items out to be collected and they are taken, either before or on the day of collection by anyone other than the council’s appointed contractor, we will not offer a refund unless you have cancelled the booking at least 24 hours before the collection date.
If the items booked are not left out at the agreed collection point on the collection day, we will not offer a refund.
If collections are delayed due to circumstances beyond our control such as bad weather or break down of vehicles, we will not offer a refund. We will offer you an alternative collection if necessary.
We will not give a refund if you present items which are not on the original booking. We will only take the number of items on the booking.
