 We offer a free textile bag collection as part of our bulky waste service.

  • handbags
  • scarves and gloves

  • curtains

  • cloths

No thanks

  • very dirty items
  • duvets
  • pillows
  • cushions
  • sleeping bags
  • blankets

You need to place the textiles in a bag and clearly label it 'textiles'. We will take the bag, so do not use anything you want to keep.

Once we collect the textiles, they will be sorted for recycling. The plastic bags will be separated and sent on for recycling at another facility.

Textile banks

We are working with ASTCO to provide a number of textile banks across the town.ASTCO blue textile bank

All materials collected from the clothing banks are re-used and help reduce landfill.
