Textile waste

You can book a free textile bag collection as part of our bulky waste service.

You need to place the textiles in a bag and clearly label it 'textiles'. We will take the bag, so do not use anything you want to keep.

We can collect:

  • clothes
  • paired shoes
  • towels
  • pillowcases and sheets
  • coats and jackets
  • handbags
  • scarves and gloves
  • hats
  • curtains
  • belts
  • cloths

We cannot collect:

  • very dirty items
  • duvets
  • pillows
  • cushions
  • sleeping bags
  • blankets

Once we collect the textiles, they will be sorted for recycling. The plastic bags will be separated and sent on for recycling at another facility.
