Anyone who supervises the sale of alcohol in licensed premises will need a personal licence.
You will be able to apply for a personal licence if you:
- live in Harlow - you need to apply for a personal licence from the council in which you live, not where the premises is located.
- are over 18
- do not have any of the relevant criminal convictions outlined in the Licensing Act 2003
- have an approved licensing qualification
- have the right to live and work in the UK
To apply for a personal licence, you will need:
- to complete the disclosure of convictions and declaration form
- a basic disclosure certificate less than a month old - you can apply for a disclosure certificate on GOV.UK (£18 fee)
- two passport photographs, one which must be signed as a true likeness of you using the photo endorsement form (pdf)
- proof of your licensing qualification
- proof of your right to work in the UK, like a copy of your passport (or you can use the GOV.UK online right to work checking service)
- the application fee of £37.00
Personal licence holders do not need to apply to renew their licence. Personal licences are valid unless you surrender it or we revoke it.
