The Essex County Council elections, due to take place in May 2025, will be postponed due to Essex's inclusion in the government's devolution priority programme.

Voter ID

You will have to show photo ID at the polling station for this election.

Acceptable ID will include a:

  • passport
  • photo driving licence
  • national concessionary bus pass

If you do not have any of the ID required, you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate.
