Harlow Council were offered 8 Solohaus units from The Hill Group.
Designed to be part of the solution to tackle the homeless crisis, Solohaus units are modular homes which help give people a step towards independence.
They are built to the highest standards of sustainability, efficiency and safety, with a 60 year life span.
These units are self-contained and be powered via air source heat pumps and a communal hot water system.
Why the work was needed
The development creates temporary accommodation as part of our homelessness strategy.

Timeline
Planning permission was granted in August 2024.
Work started on site in autumn 2024.
The project was completed in June 2026.
