We redeveloped the existing Staple Tye Depot into 5 x 2-bed houses and 5 x 3-bed houses. This project includes a 1 x 2-bed adapted house with rise and fall worktops in kitchens, wet rooms and platform lift.
The project benefits from hard and soft landscaping and associated parking.
The new homes supports carbon emission reductions through solar panels and electric vehicle charging points.
Why the work was needed
The development provides new homes to help meet the increasing demand for housing in Harlow.
It will also link in with schemes at Perry Road (the former Lister House site) and Parnall Road.

Timeline
Planning permission was granted in June 2023.
The scheme was designed by architects McBains Ltd.
The contractors were Hill Partnerships Ltd.
Work started on site in July 2024.
The practical completion date was 7 April 2026.
