Old Harlow
There are four Article 4 directions in Old Harlow:

The directions in all 3 areas mean that you need to make a planning application before carrying out alterations to the front of your property or other areas which face the highway.
The developments include:
- alteration to the front of the house, facing the road
- alterations to the roof of the house, facing the road
- building a front porch
- building a hard standing, facing the road
- removing, altering or erecting a chimney
- building or demolishing front garden walls, fences or gates
- painting the front of the house or any other building fronting the road
- putting up or replacing solar panels on a roof, visible from the road
The Old Harlow direction has been in place since 1 June 2012 and affects:

- New Road – 1 to 33 (odds)
